  1. Actually the poster could read the same for kids going hungry, pregnant mothers sanctioned into starvation, new mothers left with no food for the babe, and women early retired in lieu of redundancy with tiny works pensions (on average around £2,800, with the blokes about £4000 a year), now left with little or no state pension for life.

See why at end of my petition, in my WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT section, at:

This is not just about the rise of retirement age for women from 60 to 66.

This is about men and women losing all state pension from the various pension changes of the flat rate pension, older than these women, who retire from next year.

Poor on benefit to middle class called the squeezed middle.

The SERPs opt out will hit the poor and middle class alike, save in one way. The middle class will also see their private and works pensions reduce as well.

The poor will most likely have only the state pension as food money in old age.

Half of the over 60s are within the working poor. 40 per cent of the over 50s are disabled and/or chronic sick.

    Lost Benefit. Lost State Pension.

Even to someone turning 80 who loses the Category D top up to a tiny part state pension, with no other pension provision in life.

The flat rate will mean no state pension to the poorest workers not even getting enough wages so below the Lower Earnings Level to get automatic National Insurance credits, even if getting some in-work benefits.

The flat rate pension pays nil state pension for people with 10 years or less NI history, which means the poor either losing benefit or too low waged may not only have fallen out of the welfare state but also the state pension system.

You need 35 years NI record and 35 years paying into SERPs to get the full flat rate pension.

SERPs is abolished next year. So is Pension Credit (savings).

Loss of benefit and loss of state pension hits the poorest pensioners next year.

Please share my petition widely by word of mouth as well as social media.
Then the working class who voted Tory can see what is going to happen to them.
